Since 1972, the Hippodrome State Theater has been one of Florida’s main cultural hubs. In addition to its mainstage season, the Hippodrome screens first-run foreign, limited-release and avant-garde films. For the re-design it was important to not ignore Hippodrome’s heritage, but to mark the reemergence of quality theater in Florida.
